Program Overview: Family Formation

We meet monthly usually on a Saturday. The exact schedule will be emailed to families who have registered. 

As our patron saint, St. Joseph Marello writes in his letters, faith begins and ends at home, within our families as the domestic church.  This year, we will be using a family catechesis model that includes our parish, the home, and one another.  This program is called Family Formation and is by written members of St. Paul Catholic Church in Ham Lake, Minnesota.

We are very excited to go back to the basics with our faith and spend some time as families studying and learning about Christ--how to love Him more, get more out of the sacraments, and grow as a community!

We hope you will join us to meet families that are in the same stage of life in our parish and strengthen the bond we have as Catholics.

Registration costs for students preparing for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion:

Our First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparation program is a two year program. The second year is usually in 2nd grade. 2nd grade students who have completed a year of faith formation may be enrolled in our sacramental preparation course for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion!  We are excited to continue this engaging and rich program.  This course specifically provides preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation & First Holy Communion using activities, bible lessons, and church teachings. The sacramental prep program is an additional $35 per child. 

Registration for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparation has closed for the 2025-2026 school year.
